Meet the EPR Trillium Partners


Scott Snelgrove CPA, CA
EPR Trillium LLP, London Office

Scott earned his CA designation in 1987 and completed the in-depth tax specialist program in 1989 from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.  He has been a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation since 1987.

Scott began his career at a Big 4 accounting firm, working at the local and national tax offices for several years before returning to London and starting his own tax consulting practice in 1993.  He spent five years in industry as the CFO with a successful manufacturing company.  He currently leads the tax practice at EPR Trillium LLP, Chartered Professional Accountants and also provides tax advice to other professional accountants and advisors.

He has written extensively on tax matters, was a part-time professor at Fanshawe College, and has been an active volunteer in the community.

Scott enjoys an active sports life, highlighted by his competing in the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon, Canadian Ironman Championships, and the New York City Marathon.  


Sandy Kirkwood-Pearce CPA, CGA, LPA, CITP, ACIS
EPR Trillium LLP, London Office

Sandy received her accounting designation in 1987 and earned her ACIS designation from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in 2001.  She received her CITP (Certified International Trade designation) in 2002.   After completing all the requirements Sandy was granted the authority to practice as a licensed public accountant in Ontario in 2012.

Prior to becoming a partner with EPR Trillium LLP, Chartered Professional Accountants Sandy was the driving force behind the successful firm Sleegers Kirkwood-Pearce Professional Corporation.  This firm will continue to offer comprehensive services to its current and new clients through EPR Trillium LLP, in the accounting, taxation, business consulting, in the London and surrounding area.

Along with her current expertise in the accounting field Sandy has made a life-long commitment to continue learning new skills to enhance her ability to service clients. She also believes strongly in “giving back” to the profession and community via volunteer and mentoring services with various professional bodies, as well as to the community via charitable activities.

Sandy enjoys working with others in a team environment, travelling, and spending time with family and social events with clients.  


Jodie Arthurs CPA, CGA, LPA
EPR Trillium LLP, London Office

Jodie has over 35 years’ experience in both Public Accounting and Industry, holding management and Senior management positions in both fields.  Jodie can help you with your assurance and corporate taxation requirements.  Jodie welcomes new existing and clients.


Joanne Haagsma CPA, CMA
EPR Trillium LLP, Dorchester Office

Joanne’s keen interest in business and accounting led her to pursue an accounting career, and she earned her Certified Management Accounting Designation in 1992.  After working as a CMA in industry in the Kitchener area for 8 years, she relocated to Dorchester.  Her change in location was followed by a change in accounting focus to public practice, where she continues to work with clients to provide strategies to minimize tax and promote financial success on a corporate and personal level.

In 2006 she joined Bart DeVries to form Haagsma DeVries Accountants in Dorchester, Ontario, and their firm grew steadily. The firm provided services to owner managed corporations, farms, construction companies and personal tax clients.  After 9 years, this firm joined EPR Trillium LLP, which has allowed them to grow their services while still offering the same level of personalized service and tax expertise.

Joanne continues to update her skills by attending tax and accounting courses, and also volunteers her accounting services for several not-for-profit organizations.  She enjoys reading, cycling, and lively family conversation at the dinner table.


Chris Button CPA,CGA, CFP®, TEP, BA
EPR Trillium LLP, Aylmer Office

Chris has worked in many different facets of the financial services industry since graduating from Western University in 1983.  He has performed personal financial planning for business owners and has performed audits of multi-million dollar organizations.  His typical client runs a family business and needs reliable financial statements for banking and tax purposes.

While studying for his Certified General Accountants designation, Chris concurrently earned his Chartered Financial Planner designation.  Chris’s continual professional development led to his earning a Registered Trust and Estate Practitioner designation.

Chris has served on the Board of Directors for Agricorp and has chaired the Aylmer and Area Chamber of Commerce.  He is also involved in several service and cultural organizations in Aylmer and Elgin County.

When not at the office, Chris and his wife enjoy travelling which conveniently provides new subjects for Chris’s hobby – photography.
